Your new company

Client is a video-game and software developer who is seeking for a GL Accountant (1-year contract) to join the team.

Location: CBD

Salary: up to $6,500 per month

Your new role

Ensure timely and accurate monthly close, reporting for various APAC subsidiaries to meet US Corporate reporting timelines on a US GAAP basis
Record journal entries (timely and accurately) and perform account reconciliations across certain GL Accounts
Provide high quality and insightful financial reporting and analysis, including intercompany reconciliations, monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analytics.
Ensure compliance of all financial reporting and financial controls, coordinating finance related systems and drive finance process improvement in the company
Ensure statutory accounts and tax filing compliance with local authorities for certain APAC subsidiaries
Demonstrate an understanding of key tax concepts such as corporate taxation, GST/VAT/JCT, transfer pricing and withholding tax
Support the annual group and local audit process and respond to audit requests as required
Maintain accounting records in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS and statutory accounting policies
Collaborate regarding system and process enhancements including UAT when necessary
Support the finance team with any additional ad hoc requirements/ new projects

What you'll need to succeed

Solid accounting experience, including IFRS. US GAAP experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting processes and procedures
Advanced skills with Excel (i.e. analytics, pivot tables, vLookup). Experience with tools to drive finance automation is a plus
Bachelor's degree or similar degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field, CPA, CA. ACCA or equivalent
3 to 4 years recent and relevant experience with an International Company, in a controllership/ accounting role. A public accounting background combined with commercial experience will be a plus
Experience of working in different ERP systems (Workday is preferable)
