Job Scope & Responsibilities
- Carry out hands-on mechanical maintenance, repair, and servicing of plant and equipment
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel generators, pumps, motors, and rotating equipment
- Conduct generator servicing, including oil change, filter replacement, inspection, and basic overhaul works
- Troubleshoot mechanical and generator-related faults to minimize downtime
- Support breakdown response and emergency repair works when required
- Assist in inspection, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems
- Prepare basic maintenance reports and records using computer systems
- Assist in request for quotation (RFQ), sourcing of spare parts, and liaising with suppliers when required
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PTW, and LOTO requirements
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and site operations team on daily activities
- Support ad-hoc mechanical works as assigned on site
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant mechanical working experience
- Able and willing to perform hands-on work in an operational site environment
- Strong knowledge in diesel generator servicing and troubleshooting is a strong advantage
- Basic computer skills (e.g. MS Excel, Word, email)
- Experience in preparing or assisting with Request for Quotation (RFQ) is an advantage
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, compressors, and mechanical systems preferred
- Familiar with preventive maintenance practices and safety procedures
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to work at Semakau Landfill (offshore site)
