Job Summary:
The role of a Retail Human Resource Manager oversees full spectrum of retail HR business partnering including recruitment, talent management, employee engagement, performance management, and industrial relations for store managers and retail staff.
Job Descriptions :
Recruitment & Hiring- Develop staffing strategies, identify talent internally and externally, and source candidates at all levels.
- Build long-term campus relationships to create a retail talent pipeline.
- Plan and execute hiring for store staff and trainee managers, improving hiring quality through clear policies and competency standards.
- Ensure compliance with hiring guidelines, control recruitment costs, and monitor remuneration costs to maintain productivity.
- Review staff performance with Retail Head to identify high-potential employees.
- Prepare and document succession plans for key roles, ensuring identified talent completes necessary training and development.
- Plan and deliver training programs (‘Passion to Serve’ and other relevant programs) in collaboration with HR Training.
- Create and communicate clear career paths for all retail roles.
- Conduct quarterly talent reviews and track development progress.
- Design and execute engagement strategies and activities for store employees.
- Maintain close communication with store staff through visits and meetings.
- Control attrition by working with operations leaders on retention plans.
- Implement reward mechanisms to drive productivity.
- Analyse store profitability, review productivity, and implement improvement plans.
- Manage KRAs communication, performance measurement, and recognition programs.
- Develop exit strategies for underperforming managers in compliance with legal requirements.
- Ensure proactive policy implementation and compliance with labour laws.
- Advise and support in disciplinary actions, address potential IR issues, and implement satisfaction and retention programs.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred), any specialization.
- 3–5 years’ strong HRBP experience, ideally in Retail or Sales support, open to related backgrounds.
- Hands-on retail floor exposure to understand and support store operations.
- Strategic thinker and independent executor, able to ideate and enhance retail development.
- Level-headed, with strong advisory skills for retail leadership.
- Minimum 2 years’ leadership experience managing at least 2 staff.
- Excellent written, spoken, and presentation skills.
- Able to multitask and manage Retail Excellence team performance to meet KPIs.
- Solid experience in Industrial Relations and Compensation (incentives).
