Sales Manager - Retail (Toy Industry)

We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our retail toy business. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Singapore retail landscape, solid key account management experience and a passion for building brands in-store.

This role is responsible for developing strategic sales plans, managing retail accounts, driving sell-in and sell-through performance, and leading a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue, distribution, and market share targets.
2. Manage and grow relationships with key retail partners (e.g., Toys"R"Us, Popular, Department Stores, Supermarkets, etc.)
3. Lead expansion into new retail channels and explore new customer acquisition opportunities
4. Lead negotiations for trading terms, listing, promotions and joint business plans
5. Work closely with marketing and trade marketing to align retail execution with brand objectives
6. Monitor and analyse sales data, stock levels and market trends to identify growth opportunities
7. Oversee sales forecasting, order planning and inventory management for retail channels
8. Lead, coach and develop a team of sales representatives/merchandisers
9. Manage sales budgets and promotional spending effectively
10. Prepare regular reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and principals

12. Co-ordinate with logistics and operations to ensure timely delivery and fulfilment

Requirements:

1. Minimum 2-3 years of sales experience in retail/FMCG, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
2. Strong network and understanding of the retail environment, preferably in toys, children’s products or FMCG
3. Proven ability to manage key accounts and achieve sales targets
4. Excellent negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills
5. Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and commercial acumen
6. Self-motivated, results-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
8. Experience in preparing and delivering effective trade presentations to buyers and retail partners.
9. Possession of own transport is an advantage
