Senior Accountant Assistant

The Opportunity

In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our accounting operations and contributing to the overall financial success of the organisation.

• Assist the Accounting Manager in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accurate record-keeping
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, and vendor management
• Contribute to the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external auditors
• Support the implementation of internal controls and accounting policies
• Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed
• Engage in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Accountant or Senior Accountant Assistant in the logistics or transportation industry
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, procedures, and best practices
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
• Relevant accounting qualification, such as a degree in Accounting or a professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA)
