Occupational Therapist

The OT also collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and contributes to the development of structured routines and rehabilitative programs within the home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ functional, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans focused on enhancing daily living skills, social participation, and vocational readiness.
• Facilitate group and individual therapeutic activities such as life skills training, sensory integration, and coping strategies.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and job coaches to support residents’ recovery goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions based on residents’ evolving needs.
• Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and tools to improve independence.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to therapeutic programming, safety protocols, and documentation standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Registered and licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience working with individuals with psychiatric or developmental conditions.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health and rehabilitation.

Work Environment:

• Residential psychiatric rehabilitation setting.
