Regional IT and Cloud Specialist (APAC) | Yearly Contract - Toa Payoh
Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Implement and maintain hybrid cloud architectures, ensuring seamless integration between cloud and on-premises systems.
- Monitor and optimize the cost and performance of cloud infrastructure, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or issues.
- Work closely with vendors and service providers to effectively manage the infrastructure, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and resolving any issues or escalations.
- Plan and execute infrastructure changes and upgrades, while minimizing disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate closely with Central and Local IT teams on projects, DR and business continuity plans for the infrastructure.
- Assist in infrastructure projects within the region – task tracking and provide management status updates.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices related to both cloud and on-premises infrastructure, and propose and implement improvements accordingly.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members on infrastructure-related matters.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including infrastructure architectures, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in administering hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Good knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP, AliCloud) and on-premises technologies
- Solid experience in supporting Windows and Linux server
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (Git, Bash, Terraform, Python, PowerShell) for infrastructure management tasks.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, TCP/IP protocols and DNS.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to infrastructure components.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining security measures in both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented
