Job Purpose
To provide support to the Finance team in the aspects of Finance operations (accounting, expense controls & payments, system upgrades & migration), regulatory compliance & reporting as well as other head office reporting for day-to-day operations.
The job holder will report to the Head of Finance with a dotted reporting line to the Finance Manager for specific tasks.
Principal Responsibilities, AccountabilitiesFinance Operations
- Review of GL balances / account movements to detect unusual postings.
- Review suspense account postings and monitor for validity and reversal.
- Raise manual entries to income and expense.
- Troubleshoot with HO finance / operations for any accounting issues and posting errors detected.
- Process payments of OPEX (excluding payroll) and CAPEX cost control.
- Maintain Fixed Assets, prepaid, and amortization schedules.
- Compute qualifying liabilities, MCB, MLA, AMR.
- Monitor financial compliance ratios and requirements.
- Prepare and submit MAS returns (weekly/ bi- weekly/ quarterly/ semi-annual/ annual).
- Prepare monthly and quarterly Head Office consolidation package.
- Prepare ad-hoc Singapore Statistic surveys.
- Prepare Goods and services tax (“GST”) reporting and submission.
- Assist in any system migration or development
- Assist in budgeting cycle.
Knowledge
- General banking and product knowledge
- Knowledge of MAS regulations and notices
- Knowledge of International Financial
- Reporting Standard and GST regulations
- Degree in Accounting / Finance
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ banking finance and reporting experience
- Proficiency in accounting, financial controls, planning, analysis, reporting, MAS regulations and reporting requirements
- Experience in data analytics and data mining is an added advantage.
- Team player who is resourceful and detail-oriented
- Working-level risk and IT awareness
- Strong communication skills
