Conduct, review, and validate laboratory tests on patient specimens to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Carry out calibration, verification, and routine preventive maintenance on laboratory analysers and related equipment.
- Perform and approve quality control checks for laboratory instruments, including point-of-care testing devices where applicable, and participate in external quality assurance programmes.
- Assess patient needs, review their medical background, and identify the clinical purpose for blood collection.
- Accurately prepare and label specimens for transport to ensure proper tracking and processing.
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical science or an equivalent field.
- At least two years of experience working in a clinical/hospital laboratory setting.
