Procurement Manager
Tru-Marine is a leading one-stop service provider specialising in turbocharger Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) for the marine and offshore industry. Supporting a global customer base, we deliver high-quality, time-critical service solutions that minimise vessel downtime and maximise operational reliability.
We are seeking a strategic Procurement Manager to lead and transform our procurement function across regional MRO operations.
This role goes beyond transactional purchasing — you will drive sourcing strategy, supplier partnerships, cost optimisation, inventory governance and procurement excellence to support a fast-paced, service-driven organisation.
You will be a key business partner to Operations and Senior Management, ensuring procurement contributes directly to profitability, service reliability and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership- Develop and implement long-term sourcing and category strategies aligned with business objectives
- Build strategic partnerships with key OEMs and global suppliers
- Lead contract negotiations and framework agreements to strengthen commercial advantage
- Drive procurement governance, compliance and process optimisation
- Deliver sustainable cost savings and margin improvements
- Lead supplier performance management (KPIs, quality, lead time, risk mitigation)
- Conduct market intelligence and supply risk assessments
- Optimise working capital through inventory strategy and demand planning alignment
- Ensure material availability to support time-critical MRO activities
- Oversee procurement planning for global service requirements
- Strengthen ERP utilisation and procurement data analytics
- Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related discipline
- 8–12 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong background in marine, offshore, heavy engineering or industrial MRO environment
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and cost transformation
- Experience managing regional/global supplier networks
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
