Utilities Maintenance Technician (Up to $3,500/5 days/Rotating Shift/Allowance)

We are seeking a skilled Technician to manage and maintain both utility systems and production equipment within our factory. The ideal candidate must come with proven experience and expertise in boiler steam systems being mandatory. This role involves ensuring optimal operation, performing regular maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with vendors and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor, operate, and maintain utility systems and production equipment, including but not limited to:

• Boiler steam generation system
• Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP); Odour Containment System with chemical scrubber; Reverse Osmosis (RO) water system; Chillers, cooling towers, and chilled water recirculation system; Air compressor systems; Nitrogen distribution system; Production equipment such as spray dryers, powder blenders, liquid mixers/tanks, etc.

1. Ensure all utility systems and production equipment start and operate efficiently and reliably.
2. Conduct regular maintenance activities including:

• Chemical top-ups for systems like WWTP and chemical scrubbers
• Removal and proper disposal of waste residues, such as flocculated sludge in WWTP
• Replacement of spent chemical solutions in scrubbers
• Periodic inspection and preventive maintenance of all systems and production equipment

1. Perform functional checks and monitor key operating parameters, maintaining accurate records.
2. Execute primary maintenance programs and promptly identify early signs of malfunction or wear, reporting issues to superiors.
3. Coordinate and liaise with vendors and contractors for maintenance works, spare parts procurement, and chemical supplies.
4. Oversee contractor-led instrument calibration programs for utility systems and production equipment.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in boiler steam systems.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant maintenance experience in the similar industrial environment.
• Proven experience operating and maintaining plant utility systems.
• Experience in production equipment maintenance; knowledge of spray dryer operation is a plus.
• Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good planning and organizational abilities.
• Good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
