Assistant Director, Corporate Communications & Branding
NTUC Health Co-operative Bishan Full-time
As the Deputy Director of the Corporate Communications & Branding (CCB) team, you will play a critical leadership role in driving the organisation's overall strategy, reputation, and growth. Reporting into the Head Corporate Communications & Branding, you will serve as the strategic and operational anchor for the department, directly overseeing specialist teams across Communications & Partner Relations, Marketing & Outreach, and Content, Brand & Design.
Beyond team management, you will be deeply involved in high-level departmental administration, including formulating strategy, managing the workplan and budget, and stepping in to cover for the Head of Corporate Communications & Branding in their absence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management & Mentorship: Provide direct management and guidance to staff managing Communications & Partner Relations, Marketing & Outreach, and Content, Brand & Design. You will be essential in mentoring the team to build deep, highly effective specialist capabilities.
- Corporate Communications & Partnerships Leadership: Directly lead and strategise for the newly expanded Communications & Partnerships portfolio. Focus areas include driving media strategy, reputation management, thought leadership, and forging key sector partnerships. You will oversee critical responsibilities such as press engagements, crisis communications, leadership profiling, and major sector events.
- Strategic Organisational Alignment: Drive initiatives that advance 'whole-of-organisation' priorities rather than siloed requests. You will ensure that all campaigns and communications drive the organisation towards being a top-of-mind brand, an employer of choice, and a recognised sector leader.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Strategic Business Partners and Business Heads to execute cross-functional projects and campaigns.
- Department Leadership & Administration: You will oversee critical department functions, including budgeting, annual workplans, and overall strategy formulation, and officially cover the Head's duties during their absence to ensure uninterrupted leadership.
Qualifications
You should have:
- At least 10 to 12 years of relevant professional experience with significant senior level experience in corporate communications, public relations, or marketing leadership
- Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams (PR, marketing, digital, and design) and developing staff competencies to foster deep functional expertise.
- Strong experience in departmental administration, including strategic planning, budget management, and operational workflow optimisation.
- Ability to see the 'big picture' and maintain an eye on whole-of-organisation opportunities, driving high-level strategy and organisational growth
- Demonstrates passion, high energy, and proactive initiative, with a keen awareness of organisational priorities and deadlines to ensure daily execution drives whole-of-organisation growth.
