Restaurant Hostess (All Day Dining)

Peppermint is PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay’s signature all-day dining restaurant, offering a farm-to-table culinary experience with an emphasis on sustainable, locally sourced ingredients. Featuring live cooking stations, an open kitchen, and a lush greenhouse-inspired ambiance, Peppermint provides guests with an interactive and memorable dining experience.

You will manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries while maintaining excellent service standards in line with PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay’s luxury hospitality ethos.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations via phone, email, and online booking systems.
• Maintain an organized seating plan to optimize table turnover and guest flow.
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally.
• Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure smooth operations.
• Answer phone calls promptly and assist with reservations or inquiries.
• Update and manage the reservation system (e.g. TableCheck, OpenTable, ResDiary).
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the reception area.
• Monitor waiting times and keep guests informed during peak periods.
• Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service.
• Communicate VIP arrivals, special occasions, or dietary requests to the team.
• Support colleagues during busy periods to enhance guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Previous hostess or customer service experience in a hotel/restaurant preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, professional, and well-groomed appearance.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in reservation systems and basic computer skills.
• Positive attitude, proactive, and guest-oriented.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
