Job Description
We are seeking an independent and reliable Service Technician to support our day-to-day operations for a short term in deployment, maintenance and servicing of our products - terminals, kiosks and systems etc. This role ensures smooth on-site operations, reliable connectivity, and timely resolution of technical issues, while upholding our commitment to high-quality customer experience.
Responsibilities
On-site Support for Deployed Terminals Hardware Patch- Maintain the execution on Google Sheet and JIRA Ticket
- Schedule jobs with relevant schools
- On-site execution
- Update execution progress
- Fulfill servicing timeline given by client for all deployed terminals
- RTC battery replacement
- Balance station servicing
- Terminal network connectivity testing
- Site signal testing
- Maintain relevant issue logs and records
- Review, check and plan schedules for terminal changes
- Verify and check inventory and terminal configuration prior to scheduling and deployment
- Update relevant logs and records
- Schedule any necessary follow-up visits if issues arise.
- Coordinate with technical support or engineering teams for troubleshooting if devices fail post-deployment
- Nitec/ Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, IT, or related field.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in Service Technician or relevant role in IoT, Fintech, or consumer electronics preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in software (IT & network) & hardware maintenance & troubleshooting
- Prior experience with POS/terminal devices setup configuration preferred
- Ability to and willingness to travel frequently for on-site deployments and maintenance
- Strong problem solving ability
- Effective communication and customer service skills to support clients and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage service schedules across multiple sites
- Detail-oriented and structured in documenting technical activities
- Please note that this is a temporary full-time contract role of 6 months. Possibility of renewal or conversion will depend on individual's performance and the Company's manpower needs at the end of the contract period.
