Technical Support Engineer

Job Description:

• Provide after sales on-site/off site service support, including pre-delivery checks, preventative maintenance, repairs and installation requests in a professional and efficient manner to help maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
• Provide high levels of technical support to external customers in a timely manner
• Travel interstate and overseas for training & service as workload requires
• Promotes the Equipment and Instrument Service Department and consistently seek out additional revenue streams and opportunities for growth.
• Forges strong relationships with customers through regular site visits/meetings associated with direct reports in order to understand customer needs and to further develop the associates.
• Supervises and ensure all faults are resolved promptly and that preventative maintenance is delivered to customer.
• Coordinate with supplier or vendors for all technical issue & warranty claims
• Provide service quotation for repair, maintenance & calibration and achieve profitable revenue.
• Explore alternatives to improve the effectiveness of department methods and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Min. diploma in electronics/electricals/engineering is preferred.
• 3 years commercial experience in a field service engineer position, preferably within the life science or scientific industry
• Willing and able to travel to customer sites to perform on‑site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
• Proficient in verbal communication in English to effectively support customers and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and take initiative
