Job description:
Key Responsibilities
As an Operations Executive, you will lead an operations team within our Cargo Terminal Operations to achieve operational excellence in our import or export cargo operations. You will also plan and introduce work improvement methods by conducting work-studies on processes with emphasis on staff deployment & development, technology-adoption, safety and compliance to regulatory requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure that staff, equipment and other resources are planned for and deployed efficiently to meet operational requirements;
- Prepare and monitor capital, operating, manpower and IT budgets with constant review of operating expenses and manpower issues;
- Initiate recommendations to improve key performance indicators
- Plan and execute work improvement processes and staff and equipment deployment;
- Review, plan and monitor training needs of your staff and ensure staff competencies meet current requirements for cargo handling;
- Regular engagement with airline customers to obtain feedback and updates. Develop and execute follow-up plans to meet their operational requirements;
- Monitor all Service Level Agreement (SLAs) with airline customers;
- Ensure compliance with all audits, regulatory and quality frameworks (Eg. ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISAGO); and
- Keep abreast on new technology and automation that can improve productivity as well as enhance operational reliability and quality.
- Degree with at least 2 years relevant experience preferably in a logistics and/or operations environment
- Strong interest in operational work
- An independent self-starter willing to accept accountability and with a sense of urgency
- Results-oriented, confident and resourceful
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
