Job Description
As a School Bus Driver at Greentree Montessori, you will be responsible for safely transporting children between their homes and the school. You will work closely with the Bus Attendant and school staff to ensure that every journey is safe, smooth, and well managed.
This role requires a responsible and safety-conscious individual who enjoys working with children and understands the importance of punctuality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Safely transport children between their homes and the school according to the assigned bus routes.
- Follow all traffic laws and maintain safe driving practices at all times.
- Work closely with the Bus Attendant to ensure children are properly seated and supervised during the journey.
- Assist in ensuring children board and disembark the bus safely.
- Maintain punctuality for all assigned bus routes and schedules.
- Inform the school immediately of any issues such as traffic delays, vehicle problems, accidents, or emergencies.
- Conduct basic daily checks on the vehicle to ensure it is safe and roadworthy.
- Maintain cleanliness and order inside the bus.
- Ensure no child is left on the bus after each trip.
- Split-shift schedule, Temporary Position
- Monday to Friday only
- Morning shift: 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM, Afternoon shift: 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM
- Total working hours: 6.5 hours per day
- Break between shifts
- Public holidays off
- Bus vehicle will be collected and returned daily at the assigned school campus.
- Drivers are required to report to the campus before starting their assigned route.
- Valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence.
- Valid Bus Driver Vocational Licence (BDVL).
- Good driving record with strong awareness of road and passenger safety.
- Patient, responsible, and comfortable working with young children.
- Physically and medically fit to perform driving duties safely.
- Non-smoker (as you will be working closely with young children).
- Route familiarisation and orientation will be provided.
- You will work together with a Bus Attendant to support children during the journey.
- Support from the school’s transport coordinator and operations team.
- CPF contributions according to statutory requirements.
- Medical leave and annual leave provided.
- Performance bonus per year.
- Stable, long-term part-time employment in a school environment.
- You will report to the school’s Transport Manager or school Principal
- You will work closely with bus attendants and school staff.
