Financial Accountant (Mining & Commodities MNC)

• Adecco is partnering with a Mining & Commodities MNC to look for a Financial Accountant.
• Handles end-to-end financial accounting including month-end close, SAP-based reconciliations, compliance (SOX/tax/audit), and financial reporting, while supporting audits, process improvements, and stakeholder coordination.

• Degree in Finance/Accounting; progress toward CPA/CA is advantageous
• Experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Working knowledge of SAP (preferably S/4HANA)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; supervisory experience is a plus

• Manage month-end close activities, including monitoring site accounting and ensuring timely completion
• Prepare and review accruals, journal entries (JE), and settlement runs for WBS/WO
• Perform depreciation runs, maintain CAPEX reports, and update COGS models
• Update and analyze inventory, manufacturing variances, and financial data for reporting teams
• Handle BPC uploads, reconciliations, and maintain continuity schedules (PPE, depreciation)
• Conduct balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations, ensuring all entries are recorded in SAP
• Manage GST processing, tax provisions, and related journal postings
• Oversee lease accounting, prepayments, and amortization schedules
• Perform variance (flux) analysis for balance sheet and P&L reporting
• Support statutory reporting (ABS surveys) and respond to corporate/FBT queries
• Review payroll postings, including accruals (AL & LSL), and ensure SOX compliance through JE review and sign-off
• Participate in UAT testing, process improvements, and SAP/reporting enhancements
• Support external audits, including handling audit queries and preparing financial documentation
• Collaborate with stakeholders and manage ad-hoc tasks as required
