Assistant Finance Manager / Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring timely financial closing, accurate financial statements of subsidiary companies.
• Check and review monthly financial statements and audit schedules prepared by Accounts Executives to ensure accurate and complete reporting, check for validity and accuracy and ensure corrective action is taken.
• Ensure compliance with the Accounting Policies and Financial Reporting Standards.
• Liaise with the external auditors, and ensure that adequate, accurate and timely audit schedules and documents are provided to the auditors.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Accounting Policies and Financial Reporting Standards developments and consider appropriate implementations and provide impact assessments relevant for the subsidiary companies.
• Preparation of subsidiary company's draft audited statutory financial statements for auditor's review.
• Ensure that all statutory requirements of the subsidiary companies are met including Tax and GST.
• Check and review GST compilation and reconciliation for quarterly GST return filing by statutory deadline.
• Internal control and system improvement. Review and recommend enhancement processes to increase efficiency and strengthening of controls, and update Finance SOPs and policies periodically to maintain a strong internal control structure.
• Any other duties as assigned by superiors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Accountacy/ACCA/CIMA or its equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience with a minimum 2 years of audit experience.
• Experience in full spectrum of accounts function.
