Lead with Purpose. Shape the Future of Mental Health Services in Singapore.
This is more than a leadership role — it is a calling.
At Care Corner Singapore, we believe that every person deserves access to quality mental health support. As Director / Deputy Director of our Mental Health & Counselling Services (MHCS) cluster, you will be at the helm of one of Singapore's most respected social service organisations, driving strategy, shaping services, and developing the people who deliver life-changing care every day.
If you are a seasoned leader who combines strategic rigour with a deep heart for people — and who sees leadership as a privilege to serve — we would like to speak with you.- Why This Role Matters
- Lead a specialist mental health and counselling service cluster with direct, measurable impact on the communities Care Corner serves.
- Operate at the highest level of organisational leadership as a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), working closely with the CEO.
- Shape not just programmes and services, but the culture, capability, and future of a purpose-driven organisation.
- Represent Care Corner at the forefront of sector-wide collaboration, policy engagement, and social service integration.
- Be part of an organisation anchored in strong values, governance, and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.
- The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide senior leadership across the full spectrum of MHCS operations — from strategic planning and programme development to resource management, people development, and external stakeholder engagement.
You will work as a trusted partner to the CEO and fellow SMT members to translate Care Corner's vision and mission into concrete, high-impact strategic initiatives, and ensure their effective execution within the MHCS Service Group.- Key Result Areas
- Lead the review and development of strategic priorities and plans for MHCS in close consultation with the CEO and SMT.
- Oversee the development of practice and competency frameworks, service standards, key performance indicators, and operating guidelines that uphold Care Corner's standards of excellence.
- Drive service and practice evaluation to identify areas of growth, innovation, and improvement.
- Lead change management efforts to ensure the Service Group remains agile, aligned, and mission-focused.
- Ensure full compliance with governance requirements, regulatory obligations, and organisational policies.
- Provide strategic oversight to ensure the MHCS cluster operates with efficiency, effectiveness, and quality at its core.
- Lead resource allocation and manpower planning, balancing the competing priorities of the Service Group with the broader needs of Care Corner.
- Drive infrastructure development including volunteer capability building, fundraising strategy, and business development initiatives to meet current and future service demands.
- Proactively identify and address operational risks, cost inefficiencies, and systemic barriers to service delivery.
- Inspire, guide, and support Service Group heads and their teams to perform at their best — and grow beyond it.
- Oversee the assessment of developmental needs across MHCS and partner with the People & Organisational Development function to design and implement targeted learning and growth initiatives.
- Build a strong talent pipeline for the organisation, identifying and nurturing underdeveloped potential at every level.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, psychological safety, and professional excellence.
- Engage government agencies, ministries, and sector bodies on policy, funding, and service matters relevant to MHCS.
- Cultivate and manage partnerships with social service agencies and community stakeholders, navigating diverse agendas and operating models with diplomacy and clarity.
- Champion integrated service delivery by facilitating cross-cluster and cross-agency collaboration with the service-user experience at the centre.
- Serve as an active, contributing member of the SMT — participating meaningfully in vision casting, strategic planning, and stewardship of organisational health.
- Provide regular Service Group reports to the SMT, Board, and key stakeholders.
- Represent Care Corner externally, leading or participating in working groups, task forces, panels, and committees where appropriate.
