About the role
We are seeking a Valuer cum Retail Assistant to join our team at the Sembawang Teck Hing Pawnshop in the Yishun North Region. This full-time position is a crucial part of our operations, responsible for accurately valuing items and providing exceptional customer service in our pawnshop.
What you'll be doing- Carefully evaluating and appraising a wide range of items brought in by customers to determine their value
- Providing customers with accurate and transparent information about the valuation process and pawn loan options
- Assisting customers with the pawn loan application process and ensuring a smooth transaction
- Maintaining detailed records of all pawn transactions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships with our valued clients
- Supporting the overall operations of the pawnshop as needed
- Relevant experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in a pawnshop or similar environment
- Strong analytical and valuation skills, with the ability to accurately assess the condition and value of a wide range of items
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information to customers in a clear and friendly manner
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance
- A positive, customer-focused attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team
