RMO Sputter Equipment Engineering Intern, Data Engineering
About our group:
Recording Media Operation (RMO) Sputter Equipment Engineering team is responsible to innovate engineering solutions in mechanical, electrical, software & controls, and advanced analytic system, and provide technical support to improve/enhance ultra-high vacuum (UHV) sputter machines with upgrades, OEE, unscheduled/scheduled downtime, operations, process capabilities, indirect material (IDM)/hardware/consumables cost reduction, productivity, new product conversion requirements, media performance and defects reduction.
About the role - you will:
- Responsible and specialize in big data cleanup, algorithm design, development, validation, and deployment of advanced analytic models and system through Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics and Data/Feature Engineering.
- Capable to develop solutions on anomaly detection monitoring with sophisticated visualization system and dashboard, and alerts to establish proper controls to sustain product quality and process performance.
- Strong ability to coordinate and collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate models into high performance edge/IT computing systems
About you:
- Innovative and enthusiasm in machine learning models and big data analysis.
- Strong programming skills, particularly in Python and database management.
- Strong team player, self-motivated, collaborative, and proactive approach.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present data in group meetings
- Able to commit full time semester internship (May/Aug to Dec)
Your experience includes:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Data Science/Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python programming, SQL Database, and Tableau.
- Some knowledge and experience in Web development is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge in MS Access, Excel, Power Point, Words.

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations.
