About the Job

The Graduate Studies office is responsible for the governance and development of the University's graduate programmes, which include Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas, Master's Degrees and Doctoral Degrees. In addition, the office manages admissions and recruitment of graduate students, working in close collaboration with the Schools and various academic and administrative units across the University.

The Graduate Studies office also directly oversees two cross-disciplinary degree programmes: the Master of Social Sciences and Doctor of Philosophy.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Admissions Manager to oversee and manage the admissions process for our graduate programmes. This is a pivotal role for someone who is passionate about higher education and skilled in managing efficient, transparent, and student-focused admissions processes.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to attract high-quality applicants for graduate programmes.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in graduate admissions to inform recruitment strategies.
  • Application Management
  • Oversee the end-to-end admissions process, from application review to offer issuance.
  • Ensure all applications are processed promptly and in alignment with institutional policies.
  • Collaborate with faculty and departmental committees to manage application evaluations.
  • Manages the admissions and application processes for local/Post graduate students and participates in admission decisions for exceptional cases.Maintain and improve admissions systems and processes, ensuring they are user-friendly and efficient.
  • Work closely with IT and data management teams to optimize application platforms.
  • Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including diversity and inclusion goals.
  • Prepare and present reports on application trends, enrollment figures, and pipeline data for leadership teams.
  • Organise reports to analyse and evaluate market trends, existing partnerships and services, and their impact on enrolment numbers in meeting the University's targets and objectives.
  • Lead and develop the admissions team, ensuring high levels of motivation and performance.
  • Provide training on admissions policies, systems, and best practices.
  • Recruitment & Outreach
  • Build strong relationships with prospective students, offering guidance throughout the admissions process.
  • Liaise with external partners, feeder schools, and professional organizations to expand the applicant pool.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • Proven experience in admissions management, preferably in higher education.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High integrity is a must.
  • Service-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency with admissions system and CRM tools
