About the Role Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Execution Trader to join our growing investment team. In this role, you will be supporting a systematic quant hedge fund to: Execute Trades: Partner with the Fund’s Co-Founder & Chief Risk Officer to place and manage orders across equity derivatives markets.
Ensure best execution, monitor order flow, and uphold rigorous compliance standards. Support Business Operations: Assist in preparing pitchbooks, factsheets, performance summaries, and investor presentations. Maintain CRM systems, schedule investor calls, and manage ad hoc research and internal analysis projects.
Drive Innovation: Identify process efficiencies, contribute to analytics tool development, and implement technology-driven solutions that enhance both trading and operational workflows. Key Responsibilities Trade Execution: Execute systematic equity derivatives strategies with precision, speed, and adherence to compliance protocols across European and US trading hours.
Manage order workflows and liaise with brokers to secure best pricing. Monitor real-time market conditions and adjust tactics proactively. Business Support: Work closely with the Fund’s co-founders to: Prepare and update investor materials (pitchbooks, factsheets, performance reports).
Maintain CRM data integrity and respond promptly to investor inquiries. Support internal projects, including data analysis, strategy sessions, and fund reporting. Help manage day-to-day business operations and communications. Process Improvement & Innovation Proactively propose and implement enhancements to trading and operational processes.
Collaborate with technology partners to build and refine automation and analytics tools. Scale efficiency initiatives in line with fund growth. Requirements Experience: Minimum 2 years in an institutional trading role within capital markets. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline from a top-tier university.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA experience preferred). Ability to calculate financial statistics and a solid foundation in statistical methods. Familiarity with Bloomberg, institutional trading platforms and basic presentation tools (PowerPoint).
Ability to code in Python and SQL is advantageous. Core Competencies: Strong understanding of equity derivatives and market microstructure. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter, and comfortable working autonomously in a lean team.
Ability to respond swiftly to trading opportunities and operate effectively under tight time pressures. Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including trading until 1–2 AM when required. Comfortable working remotely the majority of the time.
