Job Duties
The responsibilities of the Senior Business Partner for Operational Services will include supporting and ensuring the delivery of the Operational functions in Belfast/Manila, mentoring and supporting these functions, on an ongoing basis, whilst acting as an “Operations escalation point” to our business in APAC.This will mean that they will act as a liaison between our APAC Business and the Operations team, on an ongoing basis, with regards to any BAU issues and challenges. The Senior Business Partner will also work closely with Operations to ensure the correct support and prioritisation for any new initiatives and regulatory changes.
The Senior Business Partner, Operational Services will be required to have not only a specific knowledge of onboarding processes including regulatory classification, client due diligence and, credit but also a wider knowledge of Operations, to help provide a general level of support.
The evolution of this role determines that the responsibilities will vary over time, but would include
— To be a senior stakeholder, in collaboration with Operational Services Management and Regional Operational Leads,
— Create and develop an engagement model with the core Operational Support teams, ensuring that the function both continue to deliver the level of service expected, but are supported in gaining knowledge on a long-term basis, including regular meetings/calls, and supplementary training
— Ongoing engagement and representation of Operations to our business and other departments in the Americas as necessary. Including, but not limited to:
o Representing Operational Services at regular Senior Stakeholder meetings, when appropriate.
o Representing Operational Services to support any New Business initiatives.
— Representing Operations, in any regulatory driven meetings, where changes may impact how Operations ensure were main compliant.
— Develop and maintain strong relationships with Senior Business management in APAC acting as an escalation point, for any BAU issues that may arise, and helping to understand and determine the impact of any changes our business may wish to make.
— Develop and maintain strong relationships with external parties, be that vendors, or service providers.
— Support our business, as necessary, with any client engagement or support.
— Set and continually manage project milestones with team members and other stakeholders whilst effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely, clear and concise manner
— Develop and enhance an engagement model with the support function being provided, ensuring that the function both continue to deliver the level of service expected, but are supported in gaining knowledge on a long-term basis, including regular meetings/calls, and supplementary training.
— Ensure that the engagement model includes clear lines of distinction between roles and responsibilities, to ensure that both our business, and our staff have clear definition.
— Participation in Operations wide initiatives to drive ongoing efficiencies within Operations and support for ongoing business initiatives
— Identify any risks to the firm or business and support in driving completion of risk event and risk issue closures

Person Specification
Knowledge- Sound knowledge of the financial markets, financial regulation and Anti-Money Laundering regulations applicable to TP ICAP
- Demonstrable experience of leading a function or staff and be able to support and mentor staff
- A broad base of operations knowledge and experience – specifically client onboarding and client due diligence and a good understanding of TP ICAP, its trading entities and brands
- Specific and high level of experience and knowledge for a specific function, within Operations.
- Demonstrable experience of senior stakeholder engagement, within Operations in the wider context.
