Job Purpose The Expected Credit Loss (ECL) team is responsible for computing and reporting credit losses according to IFRS 9. Credit losses are a key driver of DBS' profitability and a key focus for senior management. Key Accountabilities Understand the IFRS 9 accounting standard Ensure that the ECL computation and disclosures comply with IFRS Prepare analysis and slide decks for senior management meetings Perform the Group / Head Office ECL role, including coordinating analysis and discussions with overseas colleagues Participate in ECL related projects and liaison with the Banking regulator MAS Job Duties & Responsibilities Ensure ECL computation and disclosures comply with IFRS 9 Participate in crafting user stories and UAT testing for automation projects Support all DBS locations with technical accounting expertise Preparation of analysis and slide decks for management meetings as well as external disclosures Prepare analysis and slide decks for senior management meetings Perform peer benchmarking for ECL disclosures Analyze ECL drivers and participate in model development / refinement Requirements Degree in Accounting/Banking & Finance.
Min. 2 to 4 years of audit/financial reporting/capital reporting experience Experience in finance or credit risk management in banking preferred Good knowledge and understanding of accounting Meticulous.
