Choa Chu Kang - Technical Manager - Government LTA Project - Certified Engineer

Job Description:

• Lead the technical team in supporting the construction team on all design-related matters.
• Review and evaluate all technical documentation and drawings related to the project.
• Collaborate closely with appointed consultants and the construction team to optimize design for site efficiency and constructability.
• Manage and oversee the design approval process with relevant authorities/agencies, including URA, BCA, LTA, PUB, etc.
• Ensure timely resolution of all technical issues to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain strict compliance with contractual requirements in all design deliverables.
• Ensure the proper distribution of approved and updated drawings and relevant documents to all stakeholders.
• Work closely with the in-house BIM team to address and resolve technical requirements and clarifications.
• Identify and escalate potential risks or issues that may impact project performance to Management and the project team.
• Prepare and present design progress reports and presentations to Management, the project team, and the Client as needed.
• Coordinate and collaborate effectively with other disciplines (e.g., Architectural, MEP, BIM) to ensure high-quality design outcomes.
• Support the tender team by preparing technical tender documents according to specifications for civil and structural engineering bids, as assigned.
• Attend and contribute to Progress Meetings, Technical Meetings, Coordination Meetings, Site Meetings, etc.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an institution recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in design or design management, preferably within the civil and structural engineering domain.
• Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate across various design and construction stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of local codes, regulations, and authority submission processes (URA, BCA, LTA, PUB).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering and design tools/software is an advantage.
