Toa Payoh - Buyer (Supply Chain)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, requesting quotations, negotiating terms, arranging shipments, and tracking deliveries.
• Review and purchase materials, components, and equipment based on MRP (Material Requirements Planning) demands.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials in line with production schedules.
• Collaborate with supply chain planning and vendors to ensure on-time delivery and high customer satisfaction.
• Oversee inventory levels and periodically review stocking policies as directed by management.
• Coordinate with logistics providers for shipment arrangements, tracking, and customs declarations.
• Monitor supplier performance to meet quality, delivery, and inventory targets.
• Handle procurement documentation, including vendor setup, and submission of purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices to Finance.
• Manage return material authorizations (RMA) and non-conformance transactions (NCT) with suppliers.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and support cost reduction strategies.
• Maintain and update weekly and monthly procurement reports.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in procurement or related industries.
• Communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-motivated, independent, and proactive.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Ability to interpret and analyze Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Familiarity with Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) compliance standards.
