Bunker Trader (Marine Fuels)
Our client is seeking a Bunker Trader to join their team!

What you'll be doing?- Relationship Management: Develop and nurture relationships with clients and suppliers, ensuring high satisfaction levels and repeat business.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new opportunities to expand the company's customer base and market presence.
- Customer Engagement: Maintain regular contact with customers, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Market Intelligence: Provide insights and contribute to internal reports on fuel pricing trends and port developments.
- Operational Coordination: Work closely with the operations department to ensure timely, compliant fuel delivery and payments.
- Execute trades seamlessly: Manage the entire trading process, from negotiating terms to coordinating deliveries and ensuring timely payments.
- Risk Management: Monitor and manage trade-related risks, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulations.
- Negotiation Expert: Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Expert understanding of the bunker fuel market, port operations, global shipping routes, marine fuels, quality standards, and international regulations. In-depth knowledge of the bunker fuel market, including various fuel types (HFO, MGO, etc.), quality standards, and international regulations.
- Pressure Handler: Ability to thrive under pressure in a competitive industry.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Economics, Business, Logistics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in bunker trading and/or marine fuels trading with a proven track record of success. Candidates with no prior experience are welcomed to apply.
- Network Advantage: Existing client and supplier network in the bunkering industry in Asia and globally is highly valued but not essential.
Other Information:
- Working Day: Mon to Fri, 9am - 6pm
- Working Location: CBD area (Shenton Way MRT / Downtown MRT)
- Salary Range: from $6500 onwards
