Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tutor (experienced in secondary & IP Math/Chemistry/Physics/Biology) to join our close-knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is at least 5 years into their career, with a proven track record in classroom tutoring, who is passionate about education and looking to build a long-term career in the tuition industry.
The ideal candidate will be deeply familiar with the Singapore O level and IP syllabus and possess the skills to effectively engage and guide students in a classroom setting. Beyond teaching, this role offers pathways for professional development into areas such as online course creation, tutor training and mentorship, marketing & community building and initiatives, and the potential to eventually manage and own a centre under My Masterclass umbrella.
Responsibilities
Year 1-3- Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions following the IP syllabus for secondary levels.
- Maintain excellent classroom management to create a positive and productive learning environment for all students. This includes setting clear expectations, managing student behaviour effectively, and fostering a respectful atmosphere.
- Be fully accountable for the academic progress and well-being of all students in your classes by providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development of online learning resources
- Assist in the training and mentorship of junior tutors
- Support marketing and outreach efforts to attract new students
- Engage in community-building initiatives to foster a strong connection with students and parents
- Managing and own a centre under My Masterclass umbrella.
- at least 5 years into their career, demonstrable experience in providing classroom-based tutoring, with experience in providing classroom-based tutoring
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant Math & Science Subject.
- A genuine passion for teaching with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability for student outcomes and timely communication with parents.
- Looking for a long-term career in the tuition industry and eager to take on additional responsibilities and grow professionally within the company.
