Senior Analyst/AVP, Data Analytics Solutions - SMBC - Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation

SMBC is embarking a journey to transform the business model by providing value added solutions to customers to help them digitize their operations to improve financial efficiency, primarily focusing on APAC market with the ambition of expanding the business model globally.

AI Transformation team is taking the lead on the AI, Automation and Digital Initiatives and establishing a strong Digital team to drive the business model transformation of SMBC with rigor.

• Design and develop Automation, AI and data analytics solutions for customers in collaboration with customers, tech partners and internal stakeholders.
• Define business problems with customers, develop analytics models per customer needs and data.
• Establish data handling framework and practices for continuous delivery of solutions.
• Summarize and synthesize large and complex data into structured and easy to understand strategic messaging and direction.
• Build data models for AI Transformation team's strategic planning: financial planning, annual KPI planning, coordination and alignment with other stakeholders.
• Work with Technology & Operations team to implement Automation and Data analytics solutions.
• Market intelligence to learn from global best practices and stay aware of competitive & market pressures

• 3+ years of Data Analytics experience in an industrial corporation / use case.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science is required, MBA is preferred.
• Strong strategic thinking, use of data and logic to backup decisions and improve understanding.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders.
• Effective cross-functional collaborator.
• Flexibility & adaptability to adjust priorities according to business needs.
