About Core Fitness Singapore

Core Fitness is a private physiotherapy clinic and Pilates studio operating as a single integrated practice, a model we have pioneered and refined since 2011. Based at Orchard Road, we serve a discerning clientele of professionals, expats, seniors looking to stay active, and adults seeking serious, expert-led care for their musculoskeletal health.

Every session, across every service, is one-to-one.

What sets us apart is the seamless integration between our physiotherapy and Pilates teams. Both operate within a shared clinical environment, with shared context on every client. Cross-referral is standard practice, not an exception. A Pilates client who presents with pain moves straight to our physiotherapy team without ever leaving the practice.

Once resolved, they return seamlessly to their Pilates programme. This continuity of care is something our clients feel deeply, and something our instructors take genuine pride in delivering.

Our Pilates instructors are Polestar-certified rehabilitation specialists. This is not fitness Pilates. Our instructors assess, programme, and progress each client individually based on movement assessment findings. The standard across both teams is credentialled, considered, and consistently high.

We are a small, experienced team operating at the premium end of Singapore's private healthcare segment. If you are a Pilates instructor who values clinical depth, a sophisticated client base, and a practice environment built around quality over volume, we would like to hear from you.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a senior Pilates instructor with a strong specialisation in scoliosis management to join our team on a freelance basis. Candidates with seven or more years of experience are especially encouraged to apply.

You will work with a caseload weighted toward scoliosis clients across a range of ages and presentations, from adolescent idiopathic scoliosis to adult degenerative scoliosis. You will also see clients managing chronic pain, postural conditions, geriatric and degenerative presentations, and pre and postnatal care as part of a varied, clinically rich caseload.

Your role is to conduct thorough movement assessments, design individually tailored programmes, and progress clients with precision and care over the long term.

Who We Are Looking For

You are an instructor who approaches each client as a clinical case, not a fitness goal. You assess carefully, programme deliberately, and understand how to work within a multidisciplinary environment where your Pilates clients may also be under the care of a physiotherapist.

You have deep, hands-on experience working with scoliosis across different curve patterns, severity levels, and age groups. You are confident discussing scoliosis presentations with both clients and clinical colleagues, and you stay current with developments in scoliosis-specific exercise approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough movement assessments and design individually tailored Pilates programmes
  • Deliver one-to-one private Pilates sessions with a primary focus on scoliosis management
  • Progress clients systematically based on assessment findings and clinical goals
  • Collaborate closely with our physiotherapy team on shared clients
  • Maintain clear session notes and track client progress over time
  • Contribute to the ongoing clinical culture of the practice through knowledge sharing and peer learning
Requirements
  • Polestar Pilates certification (or equivalent rehabilitation-focused Pilates certification)
  • Minimum seven years' experience as a Pilates instructor in a rehabilitation or clinical setting
  • Demonstrated specialisation in scoliosis management; experience with one or more of the following is strongly preferred: Schroth Method, SEAS, Scolio-Pilates, Pilates Therapeutics Scoliosis Specialization (Dr. Suzanne Martin), Polestar Pilates Scoliosis and Spinal Conditions course, or equivalent scoliosis-specific exercise methodology
  • Experience working with a diverse caseload including seniors, pre and postnatal clients, and chronic pain presentations
  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with clients over the long term
  • Committed to ongoing professional development
What We Offer
  • Competitive freelance remuneration commensurate with experience
  • A sophisticated, committed client base
  • A genuinely collaborative clinical environment with cross-referral from our physiotherapy team
  • A practice setting where your expertise in scoliosis is valued and fully utilised
