QS/Project engineer
About the role
Benco Maritime Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced QS/Project Engineer to join our team in the Jurong East West Region. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in the successful delivery of our construction projects. As a QS/Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from budgeting and cost control to site supervision and quality assurance.
What you'll be doing- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Manage the procurement of materials and subcontractor services
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
- Conduct site inspections and monitor progress against project plans
- Analyse cost variances and implement corrective measures as needed
- Prepare progress reports and financial statements for senior management
- Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar QS/Project Engineer role within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction materials, cost estimating, and contract management
- Proficient in using project management software and cost control tools
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing project requirements
