Job Description
The R&D Manager is responsible for leading research and development activities for textile products and manufacturing processes. This role focuses on developing new textile materials, improving product quality, enhancing production efficiency, and supporting innovation initiatives within the factory.The manager works closely with production, quality control, and design teams to develop products that meet market and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead research and development projects for textile products and materials.
- Develop and improve textile production processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Conduct testing and evaluation of fabrics, materials, and finished textile products.
- Coordinate with production teams to implement new product developments and process improvements.
- Monitor market trends and customer requirements to support product innovation.
- Ensure products comply with quality standards and industry regulations.
- Prepare technical reports, product specifications, and development documentation.
- Supervise R&D staff and coordinate laboratory or testing activities.
- Collaborate with suppliers and external partners on material development and testing.
- Support troubleshooting and problem-solving related to product quality or production issues.
- Diploma or Degree in Textile Engineering, Material Science, Textile Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in textile manufacturing, textile product development, or research and development.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience in an R&D or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of textile materials, fabric testing, and textile manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Experience with product innovation, quality improvement, and laboratory testing is an advantage.
