As a Senior Process Engineer in the Outsource Department, you will play a vital role in driving quality, yield, and productivity improvements. You will oversee the smooth release of new products to manufacturing, resolve process-related challenges, and identify opportunities to optimize machine and process efficiency.Additionally, you will lead and coach engineers and technicians to foster continuous improvement within quality systems and ensure subcontractor compliance with asset tracking and quality standards.
Our Team
This role is part of the Data-Com and Specialty Solutions Division, located in Singapore, and reports to the Principal Engineer or Department Manager. You will work closely with a collaborative team of subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring seamless interaction across assembly and production lines.The team emphasizes innovation, quality, and efficiency in delivering world-class manufacturing solutions.
What You Will Do- Drive quality, yield, and productivity improvements in subcontractor operations.
- Lead the release of new products to manufacturing, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Project Managers, Automation Engineers, Product Design Engineers, Quality Assurance, and Component Engineers. Ensure full qualification for manufacturing readiness.
- Design production processes for product launches at subcontractor locations, covering line setup, process flow, process capability studies, material flow, PFMEA, and more.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure adequate resources are in place to meet capacity and quality requirements during project transfers.
- Prepare requisition plans for machines, equipment, and other production means required for new projects or sample production.
- Analyze production lines to ensure safety compliance and measure work efficiency, adhering to quality and environmental management systems.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and improvement, including introducing Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Conduct defect analysis and propose improvement activities to enhance manufacturing quality and cost efficiency.
- Ensure 100% asset accuracy at subcontractor locations through precise tracking and monitoring.
- Perform all responsibilities in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and the MBM Guiding Principles.
- Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- A degree or diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar position
- Proven expertise in process improvement, defect analysis, and quality systems.
- Ability to recognize directional errors in processes and propose effective solutions.
- Strong understanding of quality systems and standards.
- What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role is an advantage.
- Familiarity with six sigma methodologies and quality tools such as FMEA and 5Why.
- Knowledge of IATF16949 quality management standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and take on challenges with initiative.
