About the Position
Reporting directly to the Head, Communications, the Communications Assistant must be called to IBC. The Communications Assistant will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day programmatic and administrative tasks for the Communications ministry of the church, and will be expected to produce high-quality and creative digital and print communications materials.
We're seeking a talented, experienced Communications Assistant to work as part of the
Communications Team. If you are a compassionate, energetic person who loves communications and social media to help inspire God's people, then this role is for you!
Responsibilities include:
- Update and maintain the church website.
- Create and send e-letters.
- Add Sermon Notes to the Church App.
- Create weekly slides (PowerPoint).
- Liaison between the Communications Team and other departments.
- Research social media trends.
- Help prepare and schedule social media posts.
- Assist with printing and copying as needed.
- Update and submit expense reports monthly.
- Maintaining events calendar using Church Center App.
- Support any communications requirement of the church.
- Love for Jesus and is actively growing in following Him.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Should be lively, well-spoken, and communicative.
- Excellent in social media management and knowledgeable of social media best practices – including new and upcoming avenues for social media engagement.
- Must be friendly, adaptable, and a team player.
- Should be skilled in planning, organizing, task prioritization, and should be a self-starter, detail-oriented person.
- Experienced in designing digital and print newsletters.
