Our client is the market leader in semiconductor test systems and equipment. The Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring smooth operations while mitigating compliance risks amid the complexities and evolving regulatory requirements of trade compliance.

Given the volatility and increasing unpredictability of export control regulations in the US, EU, and Japan, this role is critical in maintaining adherence to applicable laws and policies.

Reporting to: Order Fulfilment Division Head

【 Responsibilities 】
  • Operate within the Quality & Regulatory Compliance organisation.
  • Oversee all trade compliance responsibilities across the Asia/Pacific region.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable import and export regulations.
  • Fulfil both implicit and explicit commitments by facilitating seamless export of goods to customers and efficient import from the supply chain.
  • Provide comprehensive support and guidance to all offices regarding international import/export compliance management (ITC), licensing, training, auditing, and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Support global and regional initiatives to maintain continuity with the corporate trade compliance strategy.
  • Effectively translate trade compliance objectives into actionable local and regional initiatives in collaboration with business stakeholders.

【Requirements & Preferences】

(Must)
  • Bachelor's degree in International Law, International Management, Business Engineering with a focus on foreign trade law.
  • At least 7-8 years of Trade Compliance & International Trade experience with strong expertise in import and export compliance operations and processes.
  • Experience working in an engineering-related company/manufacturing/MNC environment
  • Comfortable with being the sole contributor and highly independent
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable international trade and customs regulations
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin to support and liaise with English and Mandarin stakeholders (including China, Taiwan, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations and export control regimes in key markets, including the US, EU, and Japan.
(Advantageous)
  • Ability to join within 1 month is preferred
  • Experience working in a Semiconductor company is highly advantageous
