Key Roles and Responsibilities- Building Systems Management: Oversee and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms), ensuring all systems operate efficiently and comply with regulations.
- Security System Oversight: Manage the building’s security systems, including regular inspections and maintenance, to ensure reliability and safety.
- Energy & Sustainability: Monitor and analyse energy usage, implement cost-saving measures, and support sustainability initiatives.
- Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Manage vendor relationships and service providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met. Conduct safety induction training for contractors and enforce on-site safety compliance.
- Budget & Procurement Management
- Manage the facility’s budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control. Oversee the PR/PO process for all facility-related purchases and service contracts, ensuring they align with budget planning and company policies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with local building, fire safety, and environmental regulations. Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, permits, and licenses.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance, and facility-related incidents. Manage and update the maintenance master schedule and prepare periodic reports for management review.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks: Carry out additional tasks as assigned, supporting the operational needs of the building.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Facilities Manager and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and provide technical or logistical support when needed.
- Diploma or equivalent in either Estate Management, Facility Management, Engineering in Mechanical or Electrical related.
- Proven experience in facility management, with a focus on fire safety.
- Certification as a Fire Safety Manager.
- Strong team-player, with natural ability to interact with all levels of staff.
