We are looking for an Operations Director to build and scale our operations across retail, logistics, inventory, and customer experience with precision and discipline. This role is critical to translating strategy into execution and driving performance at every touchpoint — from warehouse to store to customer doorstep.

You will lead and professionalize our operations to be lean, scalable, data-driven, and customer-first, while embracing our startup culture of speed, ownership, and continuous improvement.

You will also be responsible for:

Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and execute the end-to-end operations strategy to support Sunnystep’s growth across geographies and channels.
  • Build scalable systems, SOPs, and processes across retail ops, inventory management, logistics, and fulfillment.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Tech to align operations with brand and business objectives.
Retail & Store Operations
  • Drive retail productivity KPIs (e.g., footfall conversion, units per transaction, staff productivity, service levels).
  • Ensure operational excellence across stores: SOPs, staff training, replenishment, visual merchandising execution.
  • Use data to diagnose gaps and lead problem-solving across regions.
Supply Chain & Inventory
  • Oversee inventory planning, allocation, and movement from factory to store.
  • Collaborate with the product and supply chain teams on demand forecasting and fulfillment optimization.
  • Build resilient processes to reduce stockouts, overstock, and last-mile delays.
Logistics & Fulfillment
  • Optimize last-mile delivery, warehouse operations, and returns management.
  • Identify automation and cost-efficiency opportunities in logistics and 3PL management.
  • Track and improve operational KPIs (on-time delivery, fulfillment speed, order accuracy).
Customer Experience
  • Ensure a consistently high in-store and post-purchase customer experience.
  • Build processes and systems to manage customer service performance and response speed.
  • Set up feedback loops from customer insights into operations improvement.
Team Building & Culture
  • Hire, develop, and lead high-performing teams across ops, retail, and fulfillment.
  • Create a culture of extreme ownership, data-driven execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive performance standards and operational rituals across markets.
We would want to speak with you if you are / have –
  • 8+ years of experience in operations, ideally in retail, DTC, or consumer brands with multi-market footprint.
  • Proven track record of scaling and optimizing operations in fast-paced environments.
  • Deep understanding of retail operations, supply chain flows, inventory, and fulfillment.
