Purchaser Job Responsibilities:

• Development and implementation of purchasing strategies: Plan, source, buy and expedite materials, commodities from vendors (local and overseas)
• Ensure materials from suppliers are delivered on time and meets quality requirements.
• Identifies potential suppliers to secure cost-effective sources of products.
• Establishes and maintains good relationships with suppliers to negotiate for the best terms.
• Monitors supplier performance in terms of on-time delivery, quality and cost.
• Liaise with external parties such as haulage, forwarders on delivery and documentation requirements.
• Establishes key performance measurements to evaluate the purchasing process.
• Drafts and reviews purchase contracts to ensure relevance to market trends.
• Execution and Monitoring of all regular purchasing duties and inventory control.
• Prepares monthly status reports for management review.

Purchaser Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma and above
• Able to work independently under minimum supervision.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Strong ability to coordinate between various departments and manage timelines and able to create and administer a task priority list based on company needs.
• Good interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills to maintain good relationships with key stakeholders and internal customers.
• Has great attention to detail, careful and precise.
• Good integrity, high responsible with a positive attitude.
