Stemgenic is proud to be partnering exclusively with a growing international specialty chemicals manufacturer establishing a new manufacturing facility in Singapore as part of its Asia-Pacific expansion strategy.
The company is recognised globally for its expertise in high-performance polyurethane, epoxy, silicones, adhesives, sealants, and advanced material technologies — supporting industries such as e-mobility, energy storage, automotive electronics, industrial systems, and electrical engineering applications.
Role Summary
A rare greenfield opportunity to establish and lead the HR function for a new specialty chemicals manufacturing operation in Singapore. As the standalone HR lead for the Singapore entity, you will take ownership across the full employee lifecycle while supporting the operational build-up of the plant.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, compensation administration, and offboarding
- Support workforce planning and manpower coordination across production, quality, warehouse, HSE, and support functions
- Coordinate payroll activities, work-pass administration, HR compliance, and employee relations matters
- Develop HR policies, operational workflows, and HR frameworks aligned with Singapore labour regulations
- Partner closely with plant leadership and overseas stakeholders during the startup and ramp-up phase
- Support a positive, compliant, and operationally focused manufacturing culture
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience
- Manufacturing or industrial HR experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Employment Act and MOM practices
- Hands-on exposure across recruitment, payroll, compliance, and HR operations
- Comfortable operating independently within a startup manufacturing environment
- Pioneer hire within a new Singapore manufacturing operation
