Role Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and energetic ESL/EFL English teacher to join our growing enrichment centre. This role involves teaching children and adults whose first language is not English, with a primary focus on learners aged 4–6. You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, tracking student progress, contributing to curriculum development, and maintaining strong relationships with parents.We're a small, close-knit team that values strong relationships with students and parents—so we’re looking for someone who’s warm, professional, and committed to quality teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach engaging lessons to children (ages 3 to 16) and adults in 1-to-1 and small group formats (max. 6 students).
- Contribute to curriculum development and resource improvement.
- Monitor each student’s learning progress and source or adapt supplementary materials to address learning needs, while following the Centre’s curriculum framework and progression guidelines.
- Coordinate with and support part-time teachers by guiding them on lesson planning, monitoring their students’ progress, and ensuring consistent teaching quality.
- Conduct assessments for new students and provide parent consultations.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students and parents to support learning and retention.
Qualifications:
- Personable and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for working with young children and building meaningful connections.
- Proficiency in basic conversational Chinese and clear, fluent spoken English to foster strong connections and actively engage with parents in supporting their child’s learning journey.
- Works well independently, showing initiative and taking responsibility for driving tasks forward.
- Diploma holders and fresh graduates with a strong passion for teaching are also welcome to apply; training will be provided.
- Must be eligible to work in Singapore (Citizen/PR/Dependant Pass holders).
Working Hours:
This is a full-time role with a 5.5-day work week, Monday to Friday and a half-day on Saturday.
