Verian is looking for a candidate to join our Public Perception & Communications team for an internship.

Responsibilities:

• Support quantitative and qualitative research, including in-depth interviews, participant observations and reviewing questionnaires and databases
• Conduct reviews of academic literature, as well as trends and social media scans
• Support the team’s work in public perception and communications, including liaising with stakeholders to collect and report relevant data
• Assist with preparation of reports, proposals and presentations

Key Requirements:

• Preferably degree in Marketing, Public Policy or Political Science, Psychology, Sociology or other related social science discipline
• Preferably with prior experience in applied social research
• Interest in public sector issues and desire to make a positive social impact (Interest in arts and culture is a plus)
• Ambidextrous thinker who is comfortable with data but also able to think laterally and creatively
• A natural problem-solver who is self-motivated and has a passion for learning
• Organised, meticulous, deadline driven and able to multi-task
• Works well under pressure, with the patience and perseverance to see through long timelines
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
• Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Microsoft Excel
• Preferably bilingual (English and Mandarin/Malay/Tamil)
• Able to start immediately – part-time (2-3 days a week) or full-time, for at least 3 months
