Engineering Management - Manager, Engineering and Maintenance Policies (EMP)

• Development of Engineering and Maintenance Policies.
• Implement and execute Engineering and Maintenance governance and quality assurance programme

• Lead the development, promulgation, and periodic review of all Engineering and Maintenance policies to ensure relevance and compliance with SBST and Licence requirements.
• Collaboration with stakeholders in the development and review of Engineering and Maintenance Policies.
• Establish and implement policy compliance surveillance programs, including generating comprehensive reports to monitor adherence.
• Create and disseminate maintenance advisories, bulletins, and visual communication materials (e.g., posters) to promote and uphold maintenance standards across the organization.
• Collaborate with the stakeholders to enhance maintenance hand skills through targeted initiatives and continuous improvement programs.

Any other tasks assigned by supervisor(s). The above activities are no means exhaustive and are subjected to amendment whenever is needed.

• To comply with SBST’s Safety, Health and Security Policies.
• Ensure all projects and engineering work are performed in accordance with applicable rules and procedures.
• Responsible for the ensuring of the implementation of Safety within the department.
• Undertake work in accordance with Company Rules & Procedures.

Job Specifications

• Degrees or post-graduate qualifications in Science or Engineering.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance or engineering.
• Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in writing and development of policies.

• Knowledge in Railway Engineering and Maintenance.
• Knowledge in writing and developing policies.
• Interpersonal skills which enable post holder to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Good analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken.

• Personality and approach which gives credibility to LTA Regulators, LTA Engineers, suppliers and senior management with SBST
