Occupational Therapy Associate - Bukit Batok

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assist Occupational Therapists in executing treatment plans for patients in inpatient and outpatient setting.
2. Supervise and guide patients during therapeutic activities.
3. Monitor and document patient responses and progress.
4. Prepare and maintain equipment and therapy areas.
5. Educate patients and caregivers on activities and home environment recommendation as directed.
6. Ensure cleanliness, safety, and readiness of therapy spaces.
7. Assist in providing quality and professional rehabilitation in assigned caseloads.
8. Provide coverage of service to assigned ward(s).
9. Carry out proper and sufficient safety measures to protect our patient during rehab
10. Communicate to patient / family member to enhance rehab care, skill application and promote therapeutic carry over after rehab session
11. Maintain patient records.

1. Ensure adherence to legal, ethical, and professional standards of practice.
2. Monitor compliance with data privacy and safeguarding policies.

1. Document and report incident when necessary
2. Maintain a neat and tidy workplace
3. Assist in the preparation of reports and statistics as required
4. Assist in administrative tasks.

1. Supervise and training of therapy assistants as directed
2. Participate in departmental in-service training
3. Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous improvement efforts.

1. Involve in project groups to improve the operation of Rehabilitation Department.
2. Assist in identifying problem areas, recommend and implement improvements.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Relevant rehabilitation working experience preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic, patient, and attentive to details.
• Able to work in a team-based environment.
• Proficient in basic computer and documentation skills.
