We are seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to supervise and manage the smooth running of all operational activities in the Central Kitchen (production) and vending machines in support of company’s overall business objectives.
To set goals and targets for Manufacturing facility (production), identifying key tasks, timelines and deliverables.
To promote on-going communications between Management and central kitchen team and address any valid issues/concerns.
Responsibilities:
Production Operations- To monitor progress and ensure timelines are met as planned and intervene to correct any significant deviation.
- Oversee daily RTE food production processes, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Manage production schedules, labour planning, and equipment utilization to meet output targets and minimize downtime.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- To ensure the smooth operation of stewarding in their upkeep of overall cleanliness of crockery and kitchen premise.
- To review food preparation method and always ensure a consistently high-quality standard of products and compliance to SOP (from product/material receipt quality to the various stages of food processing, preparation and cooking methods).
- To handling and action taken for any complaint in food productions products from customer.
- To select the suitable of new/ replacement food processing equipment or machines, utensils and any other hardware for Manufacturing facility’s usage.
- To consistently assess the work performance of all Manufacturing facility staff to recommend for confirmation, promotion and/or annual appraisal etc.
- To review and advise on manpower and other resources effectively to optimize use.
- To review on selecting the right foods or non-foods products for manufacturing facility usage.
- Coordinate outbound logistics including delivery scheduling, and on-time delivery to customers.
- Collaborate with drivers to ensure efficient transportation of production batches.
- Management of batch tracking and expiry dates of perishable products.
- Assign batches for delivery in FEFO inventory management manner.
- To ensure the daily drivers and logistic operations of delivery are in smooth running.
- To recruit and select suitable personnel for the Manufacturing facility (production) & vending machine operations.
- To develop subordinates by identifying and recommending for training needs.
- To motivate, boost morale, provide counselling, resolve conflicts, handle grievance and discipline as and when deemed fit.
- Oversee inventory management for raw materials and finished goods across all storage facilities.
- Ensure FIFO practices, inventory accuracy, and safe material handling procedures.
- Lead cycle counting and physical inventory activities to minimize shrink and stockouts.
- Maintain inventory cost and proper documentation to minimize wastage
- To review / plan storage space ergonomically, minimizing space wastage, and organize stock/inventory systematically for easy retrieval and storing, especially following the FIFO & FEFO system.
- To supervise on the on-going movement of inventory, from requisition/purchase to proper storage, to on-time delivery to all customers.
- Ensure compliance with food safety audits, certifications, and internal quality assurance audits
- Ensures the quality and quantity of products produced meet the business requirements
- Attends, investigates and resolves any Production-related issues effectively and efficiently
- Monitor the maintenance schedule of Production Machineries to ensure continued reliability and efficiency of assets, equipment, and systems.
- To establish & maintain the Manufacturing facility’s FSSC 22000 manuals.
- To enforce all hygiene/health/safety rules & regulations (in the Central Kitchen) in accordance with the standard of MOM, NEA, SFA, & FSSC 22000.
- In-charge of Production Manpower labour planning and scheduling.
- Work cross-functionally with various stakeholders to support production readiness and responsiveness.
- Develop and implement SOPs and training programs and schedules to support operational workflows.
- Ensure Production Manpower follows the Production SOPs and handles any disciplinary matter.
Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by superior or Senior Management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food manufacturing supervisory roles
- Minimum GCE ‘O’ level education
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with inventory systems
- Self-driven, matured and open-minded
- Result-oriented with a high degree of integrity
- Creative and resourceful
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
- Strong analytical, planning, interpersonal, communications and organizational skills
- Knowledge of ISO22000 or HACCP would be an advantage
- 6 days’ work week
