JOB DESCRIPTION
At Frezhman, we don't just build stores; we create stages for brand stories. We are looking for a Retail Designer who understands that a space is only as good as the journey it facilitates. You won't just be placing furniture in a room; you will be mapping out how a shopper feels, moves, and interacts with a brand from the moment they see the storefront to the point of purchase.The ideal candidate blends high-end spatial design with a deep intuition for visual merchandising and consumer psychology. You should be as comfortable discussing the "theatricality" of a brand expression as you are producing a technical detail drawing.
MAIN DUTIES
Strategic Concept Development
Translate brand DNA into immersive 3D environments, ensuring every design choice reinforces the brand’s unique expression and luxury positioning
Shopper Journey Mapping
Design intuitive layouts that masterfully choreograph the customer path, balancing commercial flow with moments of discovery and "dwell time."
Integrated Visual Merchandising
Work closely with the creative vision to ensure VM is baked into the architecture—designing fixtures and displays that don't just hold products but elevate them
Technical Excellence
Convert blue-sky concepts into reality through precise 3D modeling, high-fidelity renderings, and detailed technical documentation for production
Client & Vendor Partnership
Confidently present design narratives to global luxury clients, and collaborate with contractors to ensure the final build matches the original "refined environment" intent
Innovation & ToolingLeverage AI-assisted tools and emerging digital tech to push the boundaries of visualization and workflow efficiency
Trend & Material Leadership
Maintain an encyclopedic knowledge of premium materials, lighting techniques, and global retail trends to keep Frezhman at the forefront of the industry
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS- Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in retail design, store planning, or experiential environments, preferably within APAC
- Diploma or Degree in Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
- Strong experience in project management and client engagement
- Proven ability to develop detailed technical drawings and documentation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Photoshop
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and InDesign is an advantage
- Experience working with consumer brands, retail environments, or multi touchpoint experiences
- Exposure to luxury, beauty, or lifestyle brands is preferred
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive in adopting new tools, technologies, and workflows to improve efficiency and output quality
- Familiarity with AI assisted design or visualization tools (e.g. Midjourney or similar) will be advantageous
- Fluency in English
