Job Summary
The Procurement & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the company’s procurement, logistics, and inventory operations to ensure smooth project execution and operational efficiency. This role involves sourcing suppliers, coordinating shipments, handling procurement documentation, maintaining inventory records, and liaising with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and compliance with company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Duties- Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers/vendors to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliable delivery.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors and service providers.
- Execute procurement activities including purchase orders, approvals, quotations, and related documentation.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues when necessary.
- Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies, ISO standards, and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments and project teams to align procurement activities with operational and project needs.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including preparation of shipping and customs documentation.
- Handle permit applications and logistics coordination for land and sea shipments where required.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor shipment schedules and track logistics activities to support project timelines.
- Maintain proper inventory records and stock control for materials and equipment.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure materials availability and smooth operational support.
- Prepare reports and support coordination meetings to resolve operational or logistics-related issues.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation for procurement and logistics activities.
- Support daily administrative and operational activities related to procurement and logistics.
- Handle ad hoc duties and assignments as required by Management.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in procurement, logistics, supply chain, or related roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and procurement/logistics systems.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive individual.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and customs procedures is an advantage.
- Familiarity with inventory control and vendor management.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Driven individual with a commitment to operational excellence.
