Executive/Senior Executive (Programme Administration) - Rochor
The McNally School of Fine Arts is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual with a passion for the arts and arts education to join us as an Executive/Senior Executive (Programme Administration).
This position is responsible for providing project and programme administration support to academic staff, and administrative and secretarial assistance to the Head of School and, as needed, Dean, Faculty of Fine Arts, Media and Creative Industries.
Key responsibilities:
- Project coordination: support the planning and implementation of school- and programme-level projects, including the coordination of timelines, logistics, communications and budgets.
- Programme administration: assist academic staff to facilitate the effective delivery of learning and teaching.
- Intramural collaboration: serve as liaison between the School and other divisions for institutional events such as Orientation, Open House, and The LASALLE Show.
This appointment is for a period of two years on a fractional basis (2.5 days per week), with the possibility of conversion to a full-time position in the future.
Requirements:
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree from an established university with relevant administrative experience within a tertiary education environment.
- Good understanding of administrative processes and procedures, preferably within the education sector (e.g. scheduling, budgeting, timetabling, grade coordination, and support for part-time teachers and visiting artists).
- Strong organisational, administrative, and basic project coordination or management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Resourceful, meticulous, proactive, and able to follow through effectively.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and produce work of high accuracy and quality.
- A collaborative team player who can work effectively in a cross-cultural environment across faculties and divisions.
- An appreciation and knowledge of arts and culture, and a genuine interest in education and youth development, are highly desirable.
- Proficient in operating with Mac platforms, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
