English Teaching Lead - Choa Chu Kang

About Us:

We are expanding and looking for a passionate, experienced, and strategic Lead English Teacher to guide our English department to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and manage English curriculum across various levels (Primary to IBDP) aligned with KET, PET, IGCSE, WIDA, SLATE, and TRACK frameworks.
• Oversee the planning and delivery of English lessons to ensure high academic standards and learner engagement.
• Lead and train a team of English teachers by conducting internal workshops, observations, and performance reviews.
• Customize learning pathways for international students based on their placement level and educational goals.
• Evaluate and refine teaching materials regularly to reflect best practices and examination trends.
• Monitor student progress and provide academic guidance to improve performance.
• Work closely with management to align curriculum development with business growth and student needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in English, Education, TESOL/TEFL, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, with 2+ years in curriculum development or teacher training roles.
• Strong familiarity with Cambridge KET/PET, IGCSE English, and/or WIDA/SLATE/TRACK English assessments.
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, and mentor teaching staff.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience working with Chinese students or ESL learners is a strong advantage.
• Must be able to speak Chinese (to communicate effectively with students and parents)

Working Hours:

• Monday: Off
• Tuesday: Half-day, work starts at 4:00 PM
• Wednesday to Friday: 2:00 PM – 9:30 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Preferred Qualities:

• Prior leadership or academic coordinator experience in a tuition centre or international school.
• Creative and adaptive mindset toward education innovation.
• Ability to bridge academic rigor with a supportive learning environment.
